Richard Benham

Professor Richard Benham is a pioneer of the study of Cyber Security Management having founded The National MBA in Cyber Security with Coventry University in 2014.

Launched at the House of Commons it was uniquely supported by both the Prime Minister The Rt Hon David Cameron MP and the Leader of HM Opposition the Rt Hon Ed Miliband MP.

This has been followed by The National Cyber Awareness Course which again with Prime Ministerial support will be launched in 2015.

He is the UK’s first Professor of Cyber Security Management and lectures at Coventry Business School and at the UK’s National Cyber Skills Centre where he is Professor in Residence.

Professor Benham has particular expertise in Cyber Crime and Cyber Banking and is best known for introducing the phrase “Economic Cyber Terrorism (ECT)” following the highly publicised Sony and US Military cyber attacks in 2014.
